Coir Store
“Coir Store” is the trading name of Coir Store Ltd, a British supplier of natural coir matting without backing to trade and retail customers.
Coir Store was founded by Andy Huett in 2015 and has over 18 years experience in the marquee industry.
Prior to forming the company Andy was responsible for overseeing marquee installations and dealing with customers requirements.
An avid traveller of India for the past 20 years, many times Andy has visited coir production areas and witnessed the processing methods. Combining both marquee and travel experience, Andy personally sources high quality coir for import.
Due to an increase in demand and a change in lifestyle, in 2024 Andy has gone into partnership with Patrick Toland. Together we hope to expand on the range of products available and to continue in providing the high quality of service our customers are accustomed to.
Our ethos at Coir Store is to ensure workers are paid fairly for the work they do. For this reason we deal with a private supplier in India.
The supplier obtains the coir yarns from one source, and then takes that to the village cooperatives for coconut matting production. Ultimately the benefits are felt by all in these small communities.
The aims and objectives of Coir Store are:
- To source and supply the highest quality coir products.
- Production workers are paid fairly for their contribution.
- Ensure each enquiry and transaction is dealt with in a fair manner.
- Dispatch orders at the earliest, and to resolve any problems quickly.
